Bellator MMA adds a number of fights to upcoming doubleheader
Bellator MMA is continuing to add big fights to their upcoming September doubleheader.
MMA Fighting reported that the promotion added Ed Ruth (8-2) vs. Taylor Johnson (5-1) at middleweight and kickboxing star Raymond Daniels (2-1) vs. Peter Stanonik (5-4) at welterweight for Bellator 245 on Sept. 11. Former middleweight champion Rafael Carvalho (16-4) will be on the prelims of the card in a light heavyweight bout opposite Alex Polizzi (6-0).
Bellator 246 on Sept. 12 has added a lightweight bout between Derek Campos (20-10) and Roger Huerta (24-12-1, 1 NC) to the main card.
Earlier this week the promotion officially announced that light heavyweights Lyoto Machida (26-9) and Phil Davis (21-5, 1 NC) will headline Bellator 245 and Juan Archuleta (24-2) and Patchy Mix (13-0) will fight for the vacant bantamweight title in the main event of Bellator 246. Also previously announced, former UFC fighters Cat Zingano and Liz Carmouche have been added to Bellator 245 and Bellator 246 respectively.
The Bellator 245 and Bellator 246 main cards will air live on Paramount Network and the DAZN streaming service, with their preliminary cards available on the Bellator MMA YouTube channel. Both events are scheduled to take place at Bellator’s FightSphere at Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
