Bellator London – Erick Silva Full Pre-Fight Interview
Fireworks are sure to fly this weekend at Bellator London when the Brazilian Erick Silva steps into the cage to take on England’s own Paul “Semtex” Daley.
Coming off a loss in his Bellator debut back in February this year, Silva is determined to secure his first win within the organization. In the past, Silva is known to never shy away from a fight and carries a ‘fight anyone anywhere’ attitude which he has proven by taking on one of Bellator’s top competitors in Paul Daley. Other fighters may not have chosen a title contender to get back on track, however, a win for Silva Saturday night would move him up the rankings significantly.
With Daley also competing on home soil, I was intrigued to learn how Silva felt taking on such a tough competitor on foreign ground.
“I am very happy, I have never been to London before, it’s the first time I have been to London and I am fighting here, first time I came here doing something I love and I am very excited for Saturday.”
Silva continued to explain how grateful he was for this huge opportunity and understands what success over Paul Daley would mean to his career.
I remember when Erick Silva made his debut in the UFC displaying explosiveness and constant forward pressure. I asked if we would see the old Silva this weekend?
“Yes, you are going to see the old Erick Silva but more intelligent, more well-rounded, more talented. The same explosiveness but with a lot more strategy and patience.”
