Former Bellator exec Bjorn Rebney comes out of hiding to mourn loss of friend
It has been more than a year and a half since the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for Bellator MMA, Bjorn Rebney sent a tweet.
The former frontman for the second largest mixed martial arts organization in the country was an avid tweeter when he was in front of the cameras.
Rebney’s last tweet came June 29, 2014 when he simply wrote “Mexico” after being relieved from his position with Bellator MMA. On June 18, 2014, it was announced by Viacom, the parent company of the organization that Rebney has parted ways with the company. Rebney would be replaced by former Strikeforce executive, Scott Coker.
Then, yesterday Rebney came out of hiding to mourn the loss of a friend.
RIP Rob Beiner. You were an incredible friend, great leader and a better person. The world is a lesser place today than it was yesterday

Rob Beiner was the Executive Event Producer for Bellator MMA and a dear friend to Rebney. Being was also winner of 12 Sports Emmy awards, producer/Director of ESPN’s Friday Night Fights, producer/Director of USA’s Tuesday Night Fights from 1990 to 1997 and Producer/Director for numerous Pay Per View Fighting Events.
While Rebney still has not publicly addressed his location or what he is doing, at least we know he is still alive and has not completely fell off the face of the planet. #WheresBjorn
