Below are comments from the participants at the Fight Week Press Conference:
Conor McGregor
“It is so good to be back here in this beautiful country after we had such an electric event earlier this year in Florence. The Italian people showed out for their warriors. What better country is there for BKFC? Rome is the historical home of the gladiators, and we are the modern-day gladiators.”
“I’m here with my beautiful children and my fiancé. We love Rome and Italy very much. Thank you very much for your hospitality and your love. We can’t wait to put on a show Saturday night!”
“I’m not here by chance. There’s a higher power, God, that dictates my journey and all of our journeys, and I live my life by God’s word. I’ve been engaged in a spiritual journey, and I’m saved, I’m healed. The world is in for a treat. My competitive spark is now a roaring blaze.”
David Feldman
“It’s tremendous to be here in Rome, the home of the gladiators. This is where gladiatorial combat first started, and we’re bringing modern day gladiators back to Rome. These guys are truly modern-day gladiators. We’re very, very excited to continue this global growth. When we started, it was just about getting one event off the ground, then more events off the ground, and making this thing as big as it can be. Coming here to Rome continues in the global growth that we’ve had for BKFC.”
“This is one of the most stacked cards that we’ve had for BKFC, and what better place to do it than Rome?”
Chris Camozzi
“I really enjoy Italy. All the people are amazing, but I’ve made an entire career out of traveling to guys’ hometowns and beating them up. He’s the Italian icon, so that’s what I want. All the pressure is on him. I’m the outsider, I’m the Champ, and I’m taking it home with me.”
Alessio “Legionarius” Sakara
“In 2005, I was the first Italian fighter in the UFC and in 2025, I’m fighting for the BKFC World Championship, and I’m so happy. I fight for everybody with a dream.”
Ben “The Bomber” Bonner
“I live my life by one rule. Any man, any time, any place. No disrespect, but I came on eight day’s notice and battered the No. 1 contender. I’m aware that Franco was the Champion before me, but I fight to be known as the baddest man on the planet. To do that, I have to beat him. I’m in this game because I want to be the best, and on Saturday I’m going to prove that.”
Franco “The King of the Streets” Tenaglia
“He’s fought easy guys until now. For me, I fight every fight like it’s the last fight of my life. I’m going to put some respect on my name and in the division, and I’m going to show everybody that I’m still the Champion.”
Francesco Ricchi
“I was born about 15 minutes from here, and I’m glad to be back. Finally, I get my shot. I was pissed off that they didn’t book me on the Florence card. I’m a violent (expletive), and Saturday night is going to show why I wasn’t put on that card. Florence wasn’t ready. After they see what I do to my opponent, they’re never going to need to watch another fight.”
“I promise you there’s going to be a lot of blood. Don’t wear white because I promise you that you’re going to have to throw your (expletive) clothes out.”
Josef “The Berzerker” Hala
“We are violent people, and we’re going to show that on Saturday.”
“We come for violence, nothing else.”
Nico “The Iron” Gaffie
“I’ve been preparing for this moment my whole life, and my opponent isn’t ready for Saturday night.”
Jelle Zeegers
“This is a big opportunity, and I’m very grateful for it. Big respect for all the gladiators competing Saturday. It’s not easy what we do, and we’re going to leave it all on the table. It’s going to be fireworks.”
