Bobby Green

Bobby Green upset with himself following KO loss to Drew Dober at UFC Vegas 66: ‘ thought I was f*cking dominating, I thought everything was going smooth’

Bobby Green is disappointed with his how his UFC Vegas 66 fight against Drew Dober played out.

Green was returning to the Octagon following a USADA suspension and losing to Islam Makhachev back in February – in a fight he stepped up on short notice. In the fight against Dober, Green was having success early as he appeared to be the faster striker and was able to avoid the power shots.

After the first round, Dober was busted up as Green looked like he would cruise to a decision win, but in the second round, Dober landed a clean shot that dropped Green and the ref stopped the fight. ‘King’ did protest the stoppage, but the fight was over and after the loss, he took to his Instagram stories to share his thoughts on the loss.

“It f*cking sucks,” Green said. “Sometimes sh*t f*cking happens. I went out there and done my thing. I thought I was f*cking dominating, I thought everything was going smooth, and sh*t f*cking happens. I can’t be mad at anybody but myself. Drew Dober, you’re an awesome f*cking guy. Sorry if I let you guys down. This is my art. Hopefully you liked it, and I didn’t let you down.”

With the loss, Green is now on a two-fight losing skid, and after being sidelined for 10 months, he hopes to return very soon.

“I will be back soon,” Green said. “Probably sooner than you think.”

Bobby Green (29-14-1), as mentioned, has lost two in a row as he lost by KO to Dober and a TKO loss to Islam Makhachev. Prior to the loss to Makhachev, he beat Narast Haqparsat by decision and a TKO win over Al Iaquinta. The fan-favorite has been in the UFC since 2013 and holds notable wins over James Krause, Josh Thomson, Clay Guida, and Lando Vannata among others.
