Brock Lesnar UFC 200 win overturned, suspended one year
Today the Nevada Athletic Commission suspended former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar for a period of one year retroactive to his July 9, UFC 200 fight with Mark Hunt.
Lesnar’s unanimous deicision win was overturned to a No Contest, and he was fined $250,000. The fine is 10% of Lesnar’s $2,500,000 disclosed purse.
The commission voted unanimously to accept the terms after the fighter tested positive for estrogen blockers clomiphene and hydroxy-clomiphene following the contest.
Lesnar will be eligible to fight again on July 9, 2017. To do so he will be required to submit clean drug samples 30, 15, and 3 days prior to a fight.
