Bryan Caraway injured, out of Jimmie Rivera fight at UFC Fight Night 103
UFC Fight Night 103 has lost an important bantamweight bout that would could have had major implications for the 135-pound division.
MMAJunkie reported yesterday that Bryan Caraway has sustained an injury and was forced to withdraw from his scheduled contest against Jimmie Rivera.
Rivera, currently ranked number six in the division will remain on the card as the UFC is currently seeking a replacement.
It appears that the number five ranked Caraway’s injury is to the fighter’s shoulder.
The winner of this fight could have potentially been named as the next contender to the title aside from TJ Dillashaw. Cody Garbrandt defeated Dominick Cruz last Friday in Las Vegas to claim the belt.
UFC Fight Night 103 takes place next Sunday at Talking Stick Resort in Phoenix.
