Biggie Small, Tupac, Eminem, and now UFC featherweight Bryce Mitchell. Alright, “Thug Nasty” isn’t quite there yet when considering some of the best rappers of all-time, but the 27-year-old Arkansas native is turning heads with the release of his first single.
Mitchell, who did not compete inside the octagon in 2021, announced earlier this week that he will be dropping a mix tape called “Pasture Fire” today, Wednesday, December 1.

The professional mixed martial artist in Mitchell recently told Ariel Helwani about plans to release the album.
“It’s just going to be some Thug Nasty stuff, brother,” Mitchell said. “I’m absolutely serious. I’ve had a long time off and I rap on my way to the gym and back a lot. I’ve been making these songs and I’m dropping them on my YouTube channel. Next Wednesday, I’m dropping the album. It’s 7 [tracks], one for every day of the week… I had a bunch of dreams about different things and I just really thought about it. It was just something I wanted to do and I’m tired of making raps but just keeping them to myself. I want to make it public… I’m ready to release it.”
Undefeated at 14-0, Mitchell is scheduled to return to the UFC octagon in March 2022 when he meets the ever-dangerous striker in Edson Barboza.
Mitchell’s last UFC performance was a unanimous decision victory over Andre Fili in October 2020.
