Cage Fury Fighting Championships Signs Television Agreement with CBS Sports Network
Cage Fury Fighting Championships has reached an agreement with CBS Sports Network to exclusively televise at least four Cage Fury Fighting Championship events in 2015.
CBS Sports Network’s coverage begins with CFFC 48 Good vs. Burrell on Thursday, May 14 (10:00 PM, ET) from the Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City, NJ.
Current CFFC Welterweight Champion and former Bellator World Champion Lyman “Cyborg” Good (17-3) will headline the card as the featured fight of the evening as he takes on former UFC, Bellator and Strikeforce Veteran Nah-Shon “The Rock-n-Rolla” Burrell (11-5). Both Good and Burrell are coming into this fight off 1st round stoppages and will be looking to continue their winning ways.
In the co-main event, CFFC Bantamweight Champion, Jimmie Rivera (15-1) will make his first title defense against a well-regarded veteran in Carson Beebe (15-3).
In the other co-main event, the recently vacated CFFC Featherweight Title will be decided as undefeated featherweight prospect Jared Gordon (5-0) takes on hard hitting striker Jeff Lentz (10-5-1).
CBS Sports Network also will feature coverage from the June 6 CFFC event at the Sands Casino Resort in Bethlehem, Pa., and returns to the Borgata for fights on July 18 and October 31.
“Since day one, CFFC has been very systematic in our approach to build a brand that centered around its athletes,” said CFFC CEO Rob Haydak Jr. “This national television agreement provides additional exposure to further showcase one of the best MMA rosters in the sport.”
“This is a game-changer for us,” added CFFC President Mike Constantino. “We’ve worked extremely hard over the years to reach an industry-level position that recognizes CFFC as a leader and this agreement with CBS Sports Network only helps to solidify that position.”
