Cage Warriors 122 Results: Jordan Vucenic edges out Morgan Charrière, Paddy Pimblett shines
On Saturday, March 20, Cage Warriors will host the third of three straight events in as many days in the third instalment of ‘THE TRILOGY’ series, holding Cage Warriors 122: Charrière vs. Vucenic from York Hall in London, England live on UFC Fight Pass.
At the top of the bill, featherweight champion Morgan Charrière makes the first defence of his belt against England’s Jordan Vucenic. Charrière won the belt in his last outing when he stopped Perry Andre Goodwin via a body shot to win the championship. Vucenic comes into his first title shot inside the promotion after going 3-0 to start his career in the Europe’s leading organisation. The Englishmen is riding five-fight winning streak coming into the title challenge.
The co-main will see the natural born entertainer Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett (15-3) against Italian fighter Davide Martinez (8-2) at lightweight. The pair was set to originally meet last year on the exact same date, but ultimately the originally scheduled match up was postponed due to the global pandemic. Pimblett, a former Cage Warriors featherweight champion, is well known for his finishing ability, his submission game being noted as a particularly strong weapon in his arsenal.
Before the exciting co main, the main card also features another lightweight fight between Tobias Harila and Aidan Stephen. Starting of the main card will see Corrin Eaton take on Jean N’Doye at featherweight, then followed up with Brian Bouland take on Liam Gittins at bantamweight.
But before we get to all that, kicking of the whole event Nicolas Leblond and Darren O’Gorman go head to head in a flyweight bout. It will also have bouts between Tom Mearns and Yassine Belhadj and a pivotal scrap between two undefeated prospects in Nathan Fletcher and Michele Martignoni.
