Canelo vs GGG 2 results – The rematch in Las Vegas
One of boxing’s biggest rematches takes place tonight in Las Vegas, Nevada, with Canelo vs GGG 2. Canelo Alvarez vs. Gennady “GGG” Golovkin fight, September 15, at the T-Mobile Arena. Both GOlovkin’s WBA/WBC Middleweight titles are on the line.
The first fight between arguably boxing’s two greatest fighters ended in a controversial draw. Who will win the rematch?
The rematch had been agreed upon for May 5. In February, Alvarez failed two drug tests for the performance-enhancing drug, clenbuterol. Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 KOs) received a six-month suspension from the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Subsequently, the fight was postpone and rescheduled.
