Carrington Banks has put his loss to Adam Piccolotti behind him, at least while he gets ready for his fight against Mandel Nallo at Bellator 207.

Prior to his May loss to Piccolotti, the Jetsetter was on a roll in Bellator riding a seven-fight win streak. The 3rd round submission loss may have been a blessing in disguise for the fast-rising fighter.

“I learned from it and allowed it to make me better,” said Banks.

“It motivated me better in my fighting career,” he continued.

While Banks had moved in the process of his last fight camp, he doesn’t blame his loss on the previous training camp. And the move may be just what Banks needed ahead of his fight this weekend against Nallo.

“The fight community out here is really great,” he stated.

“It’s more my speed, more my style. This camp has been really great,” Banks claimed.

Looking ahead to Bellator 207, Banks isn’t looking past Nallo. Not to say that anyone wants to look past any fighter, but Banks really focused on this fight in hopes of a victory.

“I’ll look at what I can of his film and look at his strength and pick out his weaknesses and will try to exploit him,” Banks explained.

“He’s a long guy. Obviously I try to get some partners who are a little bit taller to get a good feel. It won’t feel so foreign to me and I’ve had great training partners for this camp.”

But while his eyes are on the victory this weekend, Banks still knows what he wants in the near future in a rematch to his lone loss in Bellator against Piccolotti.

“Obviously I’m focused on him [Nallo],” Said Banks.

“He’s my sole and main focus. The only person I have [in mind] is Adam Piccolotti.”

With a win at Bellator 207, could Banks’ next fight be a rematch against Piccolotti or does Bellator have other plans for the Jetsetter? First thing for Banks though would be a victory this weekend.

Catch Banks fight this Friday, October 12 at Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, CT on DAZN with the main event kicking off at 9:00 PM.
