Celebrate National Coffee Day….. The Proper Way
Wake up, wake up, get up, get up….. it’s National Coffee Day.
Today, September 29, the United States joins many other nations around the globe in celebrating “International Coffee Day.”
It is an occasion that is used to promote and celebrate coffee as a beverage, with events now occurring in places across the world.
If you want to buy an American made coffee maker, then you will have to do a little bit of research in order to find one that fits your needs and budget. Check out the list of American made coffee makers, so you can find the perfect machine for your needs.
Because we are based here in the United States, we will talk about how two companies came together to celebrate “National Coffee Day.”
Proper No. Twelve is a blended Irish whiskey produced by former UFC lightweight and featherweight champion, Conor McGregor. Crafted with the help of former Bushmills distillery manager David Elder, this expression is triple distilled at one of Ireland’s oldest distilleries and matured in ex-bourbon barrels before being bottled at 40% ABV.
Inspired by the vital role that coffee plays in helping firefighters stay alert and energized through long shifts, Fire Department Coffee (FDC) was founded in 2016. Founder and CEO Luke Schneider is a full-time firefighter/paramedic and a U.S. Navy veteran who teamed up with firefighter/paramedic Jason Patton who is also a full-time firefighter and VP for Fire Department Coffee.
Put the two brands together and you get “The Proper Irish Coffee.”
With hints of vanilla, honey-like sweetness, and toasted wood, Proper No Twelve perfectly complements the bold flavor of FDC’s Medium Roast. Once mixed with cream and sugar, it makes the most delicious Irish Coffee to toast National Coffee Day this year.
I received my care package filled with products from both Proper No. Twelve and Fire Department Coffee and immediately I knew the combination would be a hit.

About Proper No. Twelve
This brand is proper in every way, and here’s some insight as to why:
The liquid. It isn’t your typical grain-only Irish whiskey – it’s a blend of golden grain and single malt resulting in a smooth and approachable taste with hints of vanilla, honey-like sweetness, and toasted wood.
Affordable quality. At $24.99 per bottle, it’s accessible.
Proper No. Twelve gives back. For each case sold, $5 is donated to First Responder organizations worldwide, up to $1 million annually.
In March 2020, the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation became the first $1 million donation recipient, info HERE.
In April 2020, Proper No. Twelve donated $100,000 to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s COVID-19 Heroes Fund, supporting frontline healthcare workers + their families, AND created the ‘One For All’ T-shirt to raise additional funds and awareness. 100% of the price paid goes directly to the fund.
