Chelsea Hackett says PFL 4 fight against Dakota Ditcheva is “more personal and could change course of my career”
Chelsea Hackett isn’t giving into any narratives ahead of her PFL 4 co-main event against rising superstar Dakota Ditcheva. After suffering a loss in his first PFL fight in the 2024 season, Hackett will have the ultimate opportunity to swing momentum in her favor.
Dropping her first fight of the season in a first-round loss to Jena Bishop, Hackett told MyMMANews.com at her media day this week that she is taking this fight as a personal one. With the opportunity to hand Ditcheva her first professional loss and potentially get points to help propel her into the 2024 Playoffs, Hackett says this fight is personal for her and she knows it could change her career for the best.

“This is my 31st fight, I’ve been fighting pretty much my whole life, I come into every fight super motivated and wanting to win but fighting a big name like Dakota, it’s just that extra hunger to win for me. I could say it’s more personal for me, I know this fight could change the course of my career, that’s how I see it. It’s massive.”
Coming into the second round with no points in the season, Chelsea Hackett knows it is easy to get caught up in the PFL situation concerning the points system, but she’s focused on making the most of this lone fight ahead of her.
“To be honest, you can get caught up in the tournament and the points but this fight for me, I’m looking at it as this is a single fight for me. This is as big as it’s going to get. There’s a reason why the PFL have made it co-main event and I believe it’s because stylistically it’s a great matchup, we both have Muay Thai backgrounds, we both prefer to strike, so from that aspect I don’t expect either of us to back down, it’s gonna be a war.”
Knowing that this fight can not only turn around her 2024 PFL season, but also serve as a huge momentum swing in her career, Chelsea Hackett is looking to deliver against Dakota Ditcheva.
PFL 4 takes place on Thursday, June 13 from the Mohegan Sun Arena and can be watched on ESPN+ starting at 5:30pm ET.
