Official Result: Chidi Njokuani def. Dusko Todorovic via KO (elbow) at 4:48 of round one

Njokuani gets to work and presses Todorovic back, and as soon as he throws a leg kick Todorovic is in on a takedown attempt. Njokuani stuffs it quite handily to our surprise, sprawls out, and locks up an anaconda choke.

One could think this is a terrible idea for him, being a former kickboxer and trying to submit a BJJ black belt, but he does lock it in tightly. Todorovic is out of it not long afterward however and remains in top position.

Todorovic is clearly the superior grappler of the two, that much is evident, but Njokuani is able to work his way back up and lands some nasty knees to the body whilst in the clinch.

This set up an absolutely vicious right elbow to the temple, and Todorovic’s legs go out from under him. The fight was justly stopped immediately considering.

Chidi Njokuani came to the UFC after going 3-3 over his last six, and begins his UFC career with back-to-back first round knockouts over very highly touted prospects.

I became a fan of combat sports when I was 12 years old. I was scrolling through the channels and landed upon Versus, where WEC was televised. Urijah Faber fought Jens Pulver for the second time that night. That's the first fight I ever saw, and I was immediately hooked. So eventually, I began covering the sport in the fourth quarter of 2018, and have since started writing about animals as well.
