Christian Edwards: “He’s not going to make it to the third”
Interview with Christian Edwards above:
This Saturday, September 18th, Bellator 266 lands in the beautiful SAP center in San Jose, CA.
The headlining bout of the evening will take place between two MMA veterans, Phil “Mr. Wonderful” David pitted against Yoel Romero to see who reigns supreme in the upper echelon of the division.
In a featured light heavyweight bout, Christian Edwards puts his undefeated streak on the line against Ben “Big Tuna” Parrish who will be making his promotional debut on the evening.
Parrish is coming off of his loss to Logan Woods in 2019, suffering a leg injury-TKO in the opening round. Parrish proceeded to take the proper time to return to action.
Edwards, who is coming off of a dominating win over Simon Biyong in June has had plenty of preparation for his upcoming opponent. The pair were scheduled to face off twice earlier this year, with the third booking finally coming to fruition in just a few days.
“He hasn’t fought in two years,” Edwards reminds fans. “He’s not going to make it to the third round,” Edwards confidently says. “So, if I have to predict, I’m going to predict a first or second-round finish,” he predicts.
Tune in above as Christian Edwards checks in with MyMMANews ahead of his Bellator 266 bout against Ben “Big Tuna” Parrish. He discusses staying active, details his assets for victory, and gives his take on who wins the Bellator 266 main event between Phil “Mr. Wonderful” Davis and Yoel Romero.
