Claressa Shields Secures Legendary Third Round Comeback Finish At PFL 4

Claressa Shields returns to PFL on Aug. 27

The three-division world boxing champion Claressa Shields is getting back into the cage before the end of 2021.

First reported by MMA journalist Ariel Helwani, Shields will return to the Professional Fight League at the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida on Aug. 27. Her opponent is yet to be announced.

She is fresh off a successful professional MMA debut where she defeated Brittney Elkin via third-round TKO in the PFL 4 headliner on June 10. Elkin controlled the fight on the ground, but “T-Rex” finished Elkin with punches from her knees after stuffing a takedown attempt.

She is currently training with talent like the former UFC light-heavyweight champion JonJones at Jackson Wink in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The former Olympic gold medalist in boxing is perfect at 11-0 as a professional. She is the first-ever two-division boxing champ during the four-belt era.

Shields plans to return to boxing at the end of 2021.
