Cody Law talks Bellator 276 win and cracking the featherweight rankings
Cody Law has looked fantastic ever since he made his pro debut and now, he’s a ranked fighter.
Earlier this month, Law had the biggest moment of his career to get him the ranking when he knocked out James Adcock at 1:17 seconds into the first round.
Prior to the fight, Law wrote down a prediction for his fight in his hotel room on a notepad. The notepad said that he would win by knockout at 1:17 of the first round.
After calling his victory right now to the exact second, the internet blew up and was sharing Law’s prediction across social media and it lead to Law getting world wide media attention for the first time in his young and bright career.
Days after the viral moment, Law checked out the rankings and wasn’t expecting too see his name, but to his surprise, he was ranked at No. 10 in the official Bellator featherweight rankings.
Now a few days removed from the win and the ranking, Law spoke with MyMMANews about how sweet those moments were. He also discussed the recent NCAA college wrestling championships.
