Conor McGregor nude Road House scene – ‘I Just Hope My Mother’s Okay With It’
UFC star Conor McGregor spoke to PEOPLE magazine at South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, last Friday about his film debut in the ‘Road House’ remake, which releases on Prime Video on March 21.
McGregor, 35, described his hope for how his nude scene in Road House goes over. “I just hope my mother’s okay with it,” he jokes. “I didn’t tell her, I couldn’t tell her.”
In this adrenaline-fueled reimagining of the 80s cult classic, ex-UFC fighter Dalton (Jake Gyllenhaal) takes a job as a bouncer at a Florida Keys roadhouse, only to discover that this paradise is not all it seems. In the film, the former two-division UFC champion McGregor plays a hired mercenary named Knox.
“I said to myself, ‘Arnold Schwarzenegger entered the movie business in a similar manner when he was standing on the thing in The Terminator,’ so that kind of gave me a bit of confidence,” McGregor adds. “I thought, ‘I’ll do it. I don’t mind.’ It’s going to be a shock to people, I think.”
“I just got into just going naked and walking through the street — that was it,” he told PEOPLE. “I just did it. I’m a free spirit. I was in good shape, so I have no problem with it.”
“It was a little too much ass,” McGregor said during a Q&A at the SXSW event. “Just a little too much. The last shot was not necessary. Could have just been the back. The back was solid. I’m just here to perform.”
Road House is set to release on Prime Video on March 21. Whether you are tuning in for the storyline or the Conor McGregor nude scene, the action looks to be pretty promising.
