Conor McGregor record label launched – Greenback Records
Former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor has launched a record label, Greenback Records, and it is considered to be the first major label launched in Dublin, Ireland.
The UFC star and entrepreneur has partnered with music industry business partners Richard Buck and Julian O’Brien on the project. The Conor McGregor record label promises to give artists a fair share of profits for their work with splits that are “currently unheard of in the industry,” according to a report from Sunday World.
“I am excited to create Ireland’s first major record label in an industry that I have had great interest in for some time,” McGregor said regarding the launch. “To be able to come in and offer music artists a fair deal and properly reward them for their talent.
“This industry, like others, has needed an overhaul for a long time. I am excited for myself, McGregor Sports & Entertainment, to partner with Richard and Julian as founders to bring Greenback Records to life!”
Greenback Records has reportedly already signed numerous artists, although no announcements were made alongside the launch of the label.
