Cortney Casey to fight Priscila Cachoeira on Oct. 31
Cortney Casey and Priscila Cachoeira will meet in a flyweight matchup on Oct. 31. The news was first reported by Combate.
Casey (9-8) will be fighting for the third time this year. In May she picked up a submission win over Mara Romero Borella. A month later in June Casey was on the losing end of submission defeat to Gillian Robertson.
Cachoeira (9-3) got off to a rough start within the UFC after losing her first three bouts to Valentina Shevchenko, Molly McCann and Luana Carolina. Following the 0-3 start, Cachoeira rebounded by getting a huge 40-second knockout win over Shana Dobson. Following the win, she signed a new UFC contract.
A location has not been announced for the Oct. 31 Fight Night. A middleweight fight between Uriah Hall and Anderson Silva will headline the event.
