Issues with Asian promotion ONE Championship led to him having to consider potentially retiring. At 38 years old and with an accomplished career, it’s fair to say Alexandre isn’t afraid of retirement.
That’s when famous MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz stepped in to help fix the situation. Abdelaziz contacted ONE and managed to fix the situation.
