Cris Cyborg tells Jim Rome that Ronda Rousey was afraid of her
UFC women’s featherweight champion Cris Cyborg joined Jim Rome today. While on the show Rome asked Cyborg about former bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and if she was afraid to fight her.
Cyborg said “yes” in response to the question and followed up with: “I think she used my name to grow her name because before she was champion, before she was UFC champion, I was already a champion.”
The Rousey-Cyborg fight was one that was long talked about but never came to fruition. Now with Rousey working in the world of professional wrestling with the WWE and having lost back to back mixed martial arts fights to Holly Holm and Amanda Nunes, this fight would likely never happen.
