Dana White shoots down rumors of Ronda Rousey, Brock Lesnar, or GSP returning for UFC 300
While UFC 300 is not quite the card that many were hoping for, there is still time to build on some of the already announced historic April 13 event.
Despite rumors of massive former promotional stars returning, UFC CEO is suggesting that those discussions are not true. According to the UFC frontman, former champions Brock Lesnar, Ronda Rousey, and Georges St-Pierre will not be making a return this Spring.
“Ronda’s not coming back,” White told Sportsnet in Canada. “GSP’s not coming back. Brock Lesnar’s like 45 years old or pushing 50. None of those calls were made.”
The promotion’s epic event has several title bouts already in play to include the women’s strawweight championship bout between Zhang Weili and challenger Yan Xiaonan, and the BMF title bout between current champ Justin Gathje and former featherweight champion Max Holloway.
“I don’t think there’s going to be anything out of left field,” White said. “This is just going to be a type of card we’ve never done before. Every fight is a must-see fight.”
