Dana White’s Contender Series: Season 7, Week 7 Results
Dana White’s Contender Series continues on tonight with this evening marking the seventh week of season seven.
So far this season, 26 fighters have been awarded a UFC contract from all over the world. For example, earlier this season, Bolaji Oki became the fourth fighter in UFC history to represent Belgium on the roster.
Now tonight, five more fights are scheduled to go down in what should be an entertaining night of fights.
In tonight’s main event, undefeated heavyweights Shamil Gaziev and Greg Velasco will close out the show.
Gaziev has won10 straight fights and he has nine stoppages to begin his professional career. While most of his fights have come against lesser competition, Gaziev does own a stoppage victory over UFC veteran Darko Stošić.
Velasco, is a former college wrestler at Division I Rider University and has competed exclusively under the CFFC banner since turning pro. He’s collected six straight victories, including winning and successfully defending the promotion’s heavyweight title.
The night’s co-main event will be between lightweight’s JaCobi Jones and Daniel Allen.
Jones only has one career loss and the Factory X Muay Thai fighter also won the LFA lightweight title. Meanwhile, Allen is currently undefeated in his young career.
Another fighter to keep an eye on tonight is Talita Alencar, who was a jiu-jitsu standout before coming over to mixed martial arts.
Tonight’s fights will be held inside of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and can be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 8 p.m. ET. The rebroadcast of the even will also be available on ESPN+ following the conclusion of the show.
