Dana White’s Contender Series: Week 5, Season 5 Results
Dana White’s Contender Series continues on with the shows fifth season as tonight episode five goes down from the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Tonight’s card features four fights with every fighter on the card coming in with the goal of receiving a UFC contract from the promotions president.
In the featured bout of the evening, a battle of eastern Europe takes place as Polish light heavyweight Lucasz Sudolski takes on Ukraine’s Ihor Potieria, who brings a 16-fight winning streak into the contest.
Also on tonight’s card, Aaron Jeffery will look to be the second fighter from Canada to get a contract this season. Two weeks ago, his Niagara Top Team teammate Jasmine Jasudavicius became the first.
One fight has been removed from tonight’s card as Albanian lightweight Manuel Gaxhja weighed in at 160.5 pounds for his lightweight bout with Scotland’s Chris Duncan. Originally, it was reported that Gaxhja was fined 30 percent for the miss, but the fight would continue. At some point following the weigh-ins the fight was called off.
The full Dana White’s Contender Series fight card card be streamed on ESPN+ starting at 8 p.m. ET.
