Daniel Cormier makes WWE debut as special guest referee at Extreme Rules
Former two-division UFC champion, Daniel Cormier, made his World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) debut on Saturday at WWE Extreme Rules live on Peacock from the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania when he served as a special quest referee in the main event between Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins.
While Cormier, who retired from MMA and now serves as a commentator for the UFC, did not play a major part in the “Fight Pit” matchup, he did get involved, mostly by enforcing rules against Rollins.

Riddle, a former UFC fighter himself, ended up winning the match with a submission.

Another former UFC fighter and bantamweight champion, Ronda Rousey was also on the card in Philadelphia and won the Smackdown women’s championship from Liv Morgan.
WWE Extreme Rules 2022 results below:
Six-Man Tag Team Good Old Fashioned Donnybrook Match: The Brawling Brutes defeated Imperium by pinfall.
SmackDown Women’s Championship Extreme Rules Match: Ronda Rousey defeated Liv Morgan (c) by submission to win the title.
Strap Match: Karrion Kross defeated Drew McIntyre by pinfall.
Raw Women’s Championship Ladder Match: Bianca Belair (c) defeated Bayley
I Quit Match: Finn Balor defeated Edge
Fight Pit Match: Matt Riddle defeated Seth Rollins by submission.
While Daniel Cormier did not play a major part in the event, do not expect that this will be the last time DC steps into the squared-circle. Cormier is a lifelong pro wrestling fan and by the looks of it, was truly welcomed by the WWE family. Look for Cormier to be back soon again.
