Daniel Puder, Former Strikeforce MMA fighter, sworn in as Sheriff’s deputy

Former undefeated professional mixed martial artists Daniel Puder was sworn in last week as a St. Francis County, Arkansas, Sheriff’s deputy.

Puder, whose went 8-0 in his pro MMA career, has had a hand in law enforcement for years and was proudly sponsored by a police officers’ association in his competition years. After recently completing the training required to be a sheriff’s deputy, his title became official.

The 37-year old former heavyweight competitor is currently working as a deputy without pay while he runs a non-profit organization called, “My Life My Power,” which brings students, professionals, and businesses together within the community. He plans to implement the program into the St. Francis County community.

Puder also has experience as a professional wrestler. He was released from the WWE in 2005, after winning the promotion’s Tough Enough competition the year prior.

Puder’s MMA career spanned from 2003 to 2008, where he competed for Bodog, Strikeforce, as well as a regional promotion in California, and overseas in Japan.
