Dastonbek Otabolyaev and Andres Madera Set For Karate Combat Season 4
Season 4 of Karate Combat is getting bigger and better with each fight announced. Earlier in the week, Dastonbek Otabolyaev and Andres Madera were announced to fight for the upcoming season. The bout marks two of the world’s elite as World Champion Otabolyaev and Olympian Madera are set for a lightweight bout.
Dastonbek Otabolyaev is coming off of a major win at the World Karate Championships. In 2021, he took home the gold medal to become the first Uzbek champion in karate history. He soon signed with Karate Combat to up the ante a bit more and step into the pit looking to make a big splash in the promotion’s lightweight division.
His opponent, Andres Madera, is a former Olympian. Madera, who is also making his Karate Combat debut, competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games. Madera represented Venezuela at the games alongside fellow countryman Claudymar Garces but neither medaled. In 2019, Madera took home gold at the Pan American games in karate as well.
Otabolyaev and Madera are sure to put on one of the most technical and high level fights Karate Combat fans have seen ever. A World Champion and an Olympian are set to face off and it’s a bigger deal than most seem to know. This fight is absolutely one to look out for in season 4.
