Demetrious Johnson retires, inducted into ONE Championship Hall of Fame
Demetrious Johnson, arguably one of the best mixed martial artists to ever compete, has retired from professional MMA competition.
The former UFC and ONE flyweight champion announced his retirement while at ONE 168 in Denver, Colorado, on September 6.
“Like I said last time when I came to Denver, Colo., I told you guys it was potentially my last fight, and I was not lying,” Johnson said. I am done. I am done competing in mixed martial arts, and I want to thank you guys so much for giving me the opportunity.”
Following his announcement, “Mighty Mouse” was inducted into the ONE Championship Hall of Fame.
