Diego Lopes finishes Sodiq Yusuff in just 89 seconds at UFC 300
The opening bout on the UFC 300 main preliminary card was a featherweight bout between featherweights Sodiq Yusuff and Diego Lopes.
Yusuff enters the contest coming off a unanimous decision loss to Edson Barboza in October 2023, while Lopes comes to the octagon on a two-fight win streak.
Lopes wasted no time in making it three in a row as he quickly clobbered Yusuff, knocking him to the canvas in the opening seconds of the fight. Yusuff tries to survive but he is again dropped, and the contest is over as quickly as it began. It took just 89 seconds for Lopes to be declared the victor and improve his professional mixed martial arts record to 24-6.
