Donald Trump names Khabib as “favorite fighter,” Conor McGregor goes off
UFC superstar Conor McGregor is not too pleased with former U.S. President and Republican nominee Donald Trump. In a series of since deleted tweets, “Mystic Mac” goes off on Trump after he named former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov as his favorite UFC fighter.
During an interview with gaming streamer Adin Ross, Trump selected Khabib over Conor, which ruffled the Irishman’s feathers.
McGregor and Nurmagomedov of course have history as the two men once battled for the title, even taking the fight outside the cage and drawing international attention.
In the tweets McGregor wrote:
“Campaign ending decision. A smelly fat mountain monkey from the inbred mountains of Dagestan is your favorite UFC (AMERICAN COMPANY) fighter? Wow. Abysmal.”

On the flip side of it, McGregor took a photo in 2018 with Russian President Vladimir Putin that drew attention because Nurmagomedov hails from Russia.
