Douglas Lima speaks about his Bellator 260 fight with Yaroslav Amosov
Douglas Lima is back in action as the Bellator welterweight champion will take on Yaroslav Amosov in the main event of Bellator 260. The event will take place on June 11 at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.
While the news was first reported by Yahoo! Sports earlier in the day, the promotion announced the matchup during Bellator 257. Following the announcement, MyMMANews and other media outlets can spoke to Lima during the Bellator 257 event. You can watch his full interview in the video above.
Lima will be returning back to 170 pounds after unsuccessfully challenging Gegard Mousasi for the vacant middleweight championship at Bellator 250. The fight will mark Lima’s first title defense since he defeated Rory MacDonald at Bellator 232 in the finals of the welterweight grand prix.
Amosov comes into the fight with a perfect 25-0 record as a professional, with six of those victories coming inside of the Bellator cage. He holds notable wins over Ed Ruth, Gerald Harris, David Rickels and Logan Storley.
