Official Result: Drakkar Klose def. Rafa Garcia via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28)
Garcia is able to close the distance and land some hard punches early on, but Klose is able to secure two takedowns in the first and get a small amount of control time.
Not much happens through the first two minutes of the second, though Garcia secures a beautiful double leg takedown as Klose is coming into him. He gets some punches off from top position, and also passes to half guard.
But, the referee stands them up, where Klose gets back to his striking. Klose does however get taken down once more right at the end of the round.
Garcia secures another takedown to start the third, but Klose is right back to his feet, as he begins to walk Garcia down. Garcia is clearly fatiguing, though he’s still answering with shots of his own.
Klose is able to pick Garcia apart more or less in the third and final round, making the immediate significant strike count 58-27 in favor of himself with one minute left in the fight.
This was a very close encounter where both men had a good amount of success.
