Dusko Todorovic withdraws from UFC debut, John Phillips awaits replacement for July 15 event
Dusko Todorovic will need to wait a little longer to make his UFC debut.
The 26-year-old was forced to withdraw from his middleweight fight with John Phillips at UFC on ESPN 13, July 15, due to a potential medical issue. First reported by MMA Junkie, the UFC is currently looking for a new opponent to face Phillips at the Flash Forum in Yas, Island, Abut Dhabi.
Todorovic earned a UFC contract following an appearance on Dana White’s Contender Series this past August. He won by unanimous decision against Teddy Ash on Dana White’s Contender Series this past August. It marked the first time in his professional career where he went all three rounds.
Phillips is fresh off his first UFC victory and “Performance of the Night” bonus. He defeated Alen Amedovski by first-round knockout at UFC on ESPN+ 18 in September 2019. It ended a three-fight skid inside the octagon, including losses to Jack Marshman, Kevin Holland and Charles Byrd.
The July 15 event will air oN ESPN and stream on ESPN+.
