Eddie Alvarez on being capably violent vs Ok Rae Yoon at ONE on TNT IV
ONE on TNT IV Media Day went down last night ahead of the huge card on Wednesday, April 28th. The stacked martial arts event emanates from Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Both the lead and main cards feature compelling bouts with a myriad of combatants taking part in media Q&A ahead of their respective bouts. I spoke with former UFC and Bellator lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez who looks to rise further in the ONE Championship ranks.

I was curious with the relief that I presume is coming from this outcome change coupled with the fact that you’ve got to compete earlier this month, could we see the most composed yet also capably violent Eddie Alvarez we’ve seen in the ONE Circle?
“Capably violent, I love the ring of that (laughs). I’m relaxed, man. I’m confident, my training has been probably some of the best training and I’m competing at the highest level that I’ve competed at in a long, long, long, long time. So very happy, very confident going into this fight. Looking forward to how I’m going to perform. Every fight is different, every opponent is different, but I have high expectations of myself here.”

And just a quick follow-up to that point, I’m curious about your level of familiarity with your opponent Ok Rae Yoon, as you again enter the ONE Circle here.
“Yeah, very tough fighter. Very good jab, leg kicks, long rangy good boxing, good movement. I’m looking forward to a battle. He’s game. I think he’s a lot more game than a lot of the other fighters on this roster. I think he’s going to hang in there and fight it out to the end. And I respect that. I actually have really good fights with guys like that. It always takes the right dance partner to put on a great fight. I think Ok (Rae Yoon) is the right dance partner to get it done.”
