EFC’s First Event of 2022 Will Crown A New Champion – EFC 92
2022 is set to be a busy year for the African combat scene. Although other events happening are also capturing fight fans’ attention, many still await the EFC’s first event of the year. EFC 92 is set to take place on March 5th and, although the card is still being finalized, the main event of the evening has been decided. The vacant middleweight championship will be the prized possession that Luke Michael and Pupanga Tresor will have the honour of slugging it out for. The title was previously held by current UFC fighter Dricus du Plessis but the time to crown a new champion of the middleweight division has arrived.
Both Michael and Tresor had a single fight in the crazy year that was 2021 for the EFC. Michael’s last outing was in a winning effort against EFC legend Dino Bagattin at EFC 87 on July 3rd, 2021. Tresor last fought at EFC Fight Night 1 on October 9th, 2021 against Kaleka Kabanda, and he managed to get the unanimous decision from the judges. All eyes are on the fight between the two on their first encounter, as they look to claim gold. There is no doubt that the EFC will look to make their first event of the year a spectacular one and, as such, expect more enticing fights to be added to the card. For now, these are the confirmed fights.
