This Saturday, March 19th, Biloxi, Mississippi is in for a spectacular showing when Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship comes to town.
Elvin “El Bandido” Brito is set to make his highly anticipated return to the “squared circle” at BKFC 16, just days away. Brito, who is coming off a decision win over Kaleb Harris at BKFC 11, has been chomping at the bit since his last outing.
“I love doing this,” Brito says with a wide grin about getting back in the ring. “You can tell when I fight.” Confessing, “I’m made for this!”
Brito’s impending opponent for this weekend’s bout will be Mississippi’s own, Brad Kelly. Following a quick KO over Kaine Thomlinson at BKFC: 15, This will be Kelly’s sophomore appearance in BKFC when he takes on the more experienced, “El Bandido”
Discussing his matchup ahead, Brito knows, “He (Kelly) always brings it. He’s fought some really good guys too,” Brito says. “I feel like the biggest difference between me and Brad is that my style is better than his.” Elaborating, When he fights with me he’s going to fight. We’re gonna fight,” he says with an ardent laugh.
“It’s really who can get their game going faster,” Brito says about bare-knuckle fighting as a sport. “He (Kelly) hasn’t really had a bare-knuckle fight,” Brito says about Kelly’s bare-knuckle experience. “He had that round, Brito emphasizes. Adding, “the level of competition he’s going against now is a little different than his first fight.”
When it’s all said and done, “I’m getting my hand raised at the end of the night,” Brito adamantly says. Convincingly exclaiming, “And I’m moving one step closer to that belt which I deserve!”
