Eric Chase is ready to show Gunnar Spain “What the White Walker does” at Maverick 16

As the world shut down due to the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic, regional fight promotions were no different. Maverick MMA, whom hasn’t been able to hold a show since 2019 because of the quarantine, is finally back. Maverick 16 presents a dynamite card going down this Saturday, June 26th in Lake Harmony, PA.
Eric “The White Walker” Chase will be featured on the stacked lineup. utilized the shutdown to make drastic improvements in his martial arts journey.
“I’ve been training this whole time, man. If anything, quarantine did (me) well,” Chase says. “I really focused on my fighting in training and getting better.”
Chase will be taking on fellow New Jersey native, Gunnar Spain who is also undefeated thus far. “I know Gunnar has a little bit of wrestling background. He’s from Jersey man so you know he’s tough,” Chase says with a laugh. Continuing, “I’m just as tough. I’m from the same place.”
With both fighters having similar time off from the cage, Chase feels good about his odds in the impending matchup. “I like the matchup that we have against each other. He likes to come forward a lot and I like it when people get in my face,” he says. “If you see me on the feet, I am long, I am a lanky, I utilize my reach, I have nice teeps, I have nice strikes,” Chase crosses off a figurative checklist of his weapons. Continuing, “If we get to the ground, man, I’m like a snake in that motherfucker! So, I’m going to grab your neck if you stick it out, I showed that my last fight.”
With fight night faster approaching Chase is “ready to get in there and show him what the white walker does,” he says. Wherever this man wants to take the fight, that’s where it’s going to be!”
