Erin Blanchfield Signs Multi-Fight Contract with Invicta FC
Earlier today, Erin Blanchfield (1-0) announced on Instagram she signed a multi-fight contract with Invicta FC. Blanchfield recently earned her first professional victory at Cage Fury Fighting Championship 70 (CFFC). The announcement came around 6 PM EST alongside two photos signing her contract with the all-female mixed martial arts fight league.
“We are excited to be working with Erin here at Invicta. Erin is a very talented young athlete and I think Invicta is the perfect place for her to continue to grow in her career. Erin is definitely an athlete the fans are going to want to keep an eye on,” said Shannon Knapp, the President of the all-female MMA fight league, Invicta FC.
The flyweight defeated Whittany Pyles at CFFC 70 via TKO in the first round. Blanchfield started her amateur career with Aggressive Combat Championships in November of 2017. Her only amateur fight took place on ACC 17 fight card in Westchester, New York, where she defeated Destiny Quinones in the first round at 1:08, by way of armbar submission.
“It feels awesome to sign with Invicta FC,” told Blanchfield to MyMMNews. “They (Invicta FC) have done so much for female MMA. I always loved the deep waters and I’m ready for this challenge.”
There is no set date for Blanchfield’s first fight on an Invicta FC fight card.
