Eryk Anders steps in to fight Antonio Arroyo at UFC’s Nov. 14 event
Eryk Anders is stepping in.
Anders will replace Andreas Michalidis to take on Antonio Arroyo at UFC’s event on Nov. 14. First reported by MMA Junkie, the reason for Michalidis’ withdrawal is unknown at this time.
The event is scheduled to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada.s
Anders is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Krzystof Jotko at UFC on ESPN 8 on May 16. The defeat snapped a two-fight win streak for the former Alabama Crimson Tide football player.
He picked up a first-round knockout against Vinicius Moreira Castro at UFC on ESPN 3 in June 2019. He followed it up with a unanimous decision win against Gerald Meerschaert at UFC Fight Night 161 in October 2019.
Arroyo dropped a unanimous-decision loss to Andre Muniz in his octagon debut at UFC Fight Night 164 this past November. He earned a UFC contract in July 2019 after submitting Stephen Regman in the second round at Dana White’s Contender Series in July 2019.
