Evan Holyfield suffers upset KO loss at TrillerVerz 5
Triller Fight Club’s TrillerVerz 5 took place last night at the Kia Forum in Inglewood, California.
On the card was Evan Holyfield, the son of decorated heavyweight boxer Evander Holyfield.
Going into the bout, Holyfield held an undefeated record of 9-0-0 with 6 KOs. As he took on Jurmain McDonald, the odds had Holyfield as high as a -10,000 favorite. Needless to say, if you bet against Holyfield, you are probably pretty happy.
It would take McDonald (7-5-0) just two rounds to faceplant Holyfield with an overhand right and put an end to the bout.

Following the massive upset, Holyfield took to Twitter to ensure fans that he was in good health and still has his eyes on the world title.
Blessed to be in good health, and that was good shot no cap! Hope I didn’t disappoint too many folk, but I promise I’ll make up for it. Definitely still have my sights on being world champion!

Holyfield has proved to be a potential star in the sport of boxing in his last few bouts. Despite a brutal KO early on in his career and a difficult road ahead, he still very well might have a bright future in the sport.
We here at MyMMANews look forward to what is next for the 24-year-old super welterweight and congratulate McDonald on proving the odds wrong and reminding us that anything can happen in the world of combat sports.
