Fabricio Werdum signs with PFL for 2021 season
Former UFC heavyweight champion, Fabricio Werdum, has joined the PFL for it’s upcoming 2021 season. Werdum was in negoations with Bellator for a fight with legendary heavyweight, Fedor Emelianenko. Those have apparently fell through and now Werdum joins the PFL citing the opportunity to fight four or five times next year as a major selling point.

Werdum joins a PFL that has been stacking talent in recent times. After signing Brendan Loughnane, and Rory MacDonald, Werdum is the biggest signing to the promotion to date. Werdum, as mentioned earlier, is a former UFC champion, and has beat names like Alexander Gustafsson, Travis Browne, Cain Velasquez, Mark Hunt, Big Nog, Fedor Emelianenko, Bigfoot Silva, Gabriel Gonzaga, Alistair Overeem, and more, Werdum is one of the best heavyweights in the game.

The PFL sport season format provides an opportunity to control his destiny, like all PFL fighters, with a transparent shot to earn another major global title and the PFL million dollar champions belt.”
PFL’s excitement goes all the way through the heavyweight division and all of the fighters and brash are excited to have the former champion on board.
