Fans picking Dan Henderson to defeat Michael Bisping at UFC 204
A rematch of epic proportions headlines UFC 204 in Manchester, England this Saturday night as Michael Bisping seeks to avenge a knockout loss to Dan Henderson.
The first time these two men met back at UFC 100 in July 2009, Hendo landed a vicious knockout blow to the man he coached opposite on the Ultimate Fighter and to this day the devastation is shown on UFC highlight reels and is arguably one of the best KO’s we as fans have seen inside the organization.
Seven years later however, it is Bisping who is now the UFC middleweight champion after defeating Luke Rockhold for the belt back at UFC 199 in June.
While Henderson may not have fell next in line for a title shot, the fight made sense to the UFC brass. By sense, I mean money as UFC 204 at the Manchester Arena sold out in just six-minutes.
Henderson has stated his intentions of retiring and walking away from mixed martial arts whether he win or lose the fight. His legendary career includes titles in Pride and Strikeforce and although he challenged twice for UFC titles, he fell short, never achieving that dream.
