Australian lightweight Jamie Mullarkey was set to face Jalin Turner earlier on in the year but was ultimately forced to withdraw from the fight at UFC on ESPN+ 26: Felder vs. Hooker. Mullarkey (14-3 MMA, 0-1 UFC) hasn’t fought since his debut unanimous decision loss against Brad Riddell at UFC 243. Mullarkey (12-3) is coming off a loss to Brad Riddell in a Fight of the Night effort at UFC 243 in Australia back in October. Mullarkey proved to have a ton of heart, and a iron chin, during time at war. Now, he needs to prove he can pull off a win inside the octagon at the biggest of stages.
On October 17, French born Fares Ziam will face Aussie Jamie Mullarkey in the United Arab Emirates, at the “Fight Island”, held on Yas Ialand, Abu Dhabi. The 23-year-old MMA lightweight athlete, who lost on his UFC debut to South African Don Mage (by unanimous decision: 30-27, 30-27, 29-28) on September 7 2019, therefore both fighters will look to get there hand raised for the first time in their UFC career.
