Flowrestling Creates Professional Wrestling Organization, Ben Askren named Commissioner
Flowrestling continues to set the standards for wrestling coverage and has now entered its next phase of wrestling media with the creation of The Flo Premier League, a professional wrestling organization. The FPL will draw the very best post-college wrestlers to feed the fans the matches they have patiently waited for.
FPL will be taking a different approach as the wrestlers attire will not be the usual singlet wrestling fans are used to. Instead athletes will be wearing fight shorts while competing. These matches will be wrestled under the ‘Tirapelle Rules’, a mixture of Freestyle and Folkstyle wrestling.
NCAA champion Chris Perry will wrestle Robert Hamlin in the debut match for Flo Premier League, which will headline Who’s #1 October 18, 2014.
Flo Premier League named Ben Askren, two-time Hodge Trophy winner and One FC Welterweight Champion, as their first commissioner.
The Flo Premier League has scheduled six events in the first year. Albany, NY; Chicago, Ill; Whitewater, Wisconsin; St. Louis, MO; and Indiana, PA are the six cities FPL is planned to visit in the first year.
Scheduled Events:
November 29 – Albany, NY
December 21- Chicago, IL
January 25 – Whitewater, WI
March 18 – St. Louis, MO
April 5 – Indiana, PA
