Floyd Mayweather reportedly approached to box Logan Paul

Floyd Mayweather maybe back in the ring soon against a big name opponent. The big name opponent is literally only a big name as the individual has professional boxing record is 0-1.

For the past few hours the world has been buzzing about a possible boxing match between Mayweather and YouTube star Logan Paul. After many hours of speculation, TMZ reported from sources close to Mayweather that the former pound-for-pound king has been approached with an offer to fight the YouTube star sometime in 2020.

As of right now, neither Mayweather or Paul has signed a contract. There is no set answer as to whether or not this fight would be a sanctioned bout or an exhibition. There is also no weight class announced at this time. 

Mayweather (50-0) is boxing legend, who many consider as the greatest of all time. The 43-year-old has teased the idea of coming out of retirement and fighting again. He previously fought an exhibition in December of 2018 in which he knocked out Tenshin Nasukawa. His last professional match came in 2017 when Mayweather scored a TKO win over UFC star Conor McGregor.

Mayweather has had a tragic 2020. This year he lost his former girlfriend Josie Harris, who is the mother to three of kids, his former trainer and uncle Roger Mayweather and one of his young upcoming students Danny Gonzalez. In addition to the losing those key people in his life, his daughter was also arrested in an alleged stabbing.

Paul has been looking to box again after losing to KSI in September of 2019. He previously tried getting a match with former NFL star Antonio Brown.
