Floyd Mayweather put an end to an incredible professional career back in 2017, ending his run with a 50-0-0 record and 27 KOs. Over the course of his career, he has also collected multiple world titles in the WBC, WBO, IBF, and WBA and defeated the likes of Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, Robert Guerrero, Manny Pacquiao, Miguel Cotto, and Ocar De La Hoya.
Since his retirement bout against Conor McGregor back in 2017, the Hall of Fame inductee has been competing in exhibition matches. First against Tenshin Nasukawa, then Logan Paul, and most recently, Don Moore. This September, he will participate in his fourth exhibition bout as he takes on Asakura.
At just 29-years-old, Asakura has spent the majority of his professional MMA career under the RIZIN banner and he has collected a record of 16-3-0 with 1 NC. In his most recent outings, he defeated Kyohei Hagiwara and Yutaka Saito, both via unanimous decision.
