Floyd Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna, arrested for allegedly stabbing woman
It has been a rough few months for boxing legend Floyd Mayweather. First his ex girlfriend, who was the mother to three of his children, passed away. Following the death of his ex, Mayweather’s uncle and former trainer Roger Mayweather died. Now his daughter has been arrested.
TMZ was first to report that Mayweather’s daughter, Iyanna, has been arrested for felony aggravated assault with a weapon. The arrest comes from a confrontation over rapper NBA Youngboy.
Iyanna Maywather was taken into custody in Houston’s Harris County jail after being arrested earlier Saturday morning. Law enforcement told TMZ, the alleged victim and NBA Youngboy were at his home when Iyanna arrived and told the woman, Lapattra Lashai Jacobs, she was Youngboy’s fiancee and Jacobs should leave the house. Jacobs then told Iyanna to leave.
The argument would eventually turn violent with Jacobs telling police that Mayweather stabbed her.
Medical staff arrived first at the scene and before taking Jacobs to the hospital, they contacted police about a possible altercation.
When law enforcement arrived, Mayweather told them that Jacobs had incited her by initially pulling her hair outside the house and then running into the kitchen, where the confrontation occurred.
Mayweather told cops that she never met Jacobs before.
NBA Youngboy, whose real name is Kentrel DeSean Gaulden, and Mayweather were previously in a relationship. Jacobs has a child with the rapper.
NBC News reported that Mayweather was released from prison on $30,000 bond. She is scheduled to report to court on Monday.
