German Champion Kerim Engizek joins EMC, meets UFC vet Rostem Akman at EMC 6
EMC officials have announced the signing of Kerim Engizek (15-4), one of Europe’s top-rated welterweights. The 29-year-old is unbeaten since 2014 and is the former GMC welterweight champion.
Turkish-born, Engizek has based himself out of Germany and has risen to become one of the most popular fighters in the country with over 100,000 followers on Instagram thanks to his exciting fighting style. Overall he has 10 TKO/KO wins and an 80% finishing ratio.
He will make his promotional debut at EMC 6 on October 31st facing fellow debutant Rostem Akman (6-2). The Swedish fighter comes into EMC after a two-fight run in the UFC where he competed at UFC on ESPN+ 11 and UFC 243. Prior to this the 28-year-old won six straight fights all via stoppage.
EMC 6 will be available to watch live around the world on FITE.tv and will be headlined by Ismail Naurdiev (20-4) vs. Amiran Gogoladze (11-1) for the inaugural welterweight title and Brad Katona (8-2) challenges Stipe Brcic (8-1) for the bantamweight title in the co-main event.
